Anxiety or Trust? We Can't Live in Both

In this episode, we're talking about being yoked with Christ, what that means, and how it will impact our lives.

"My yoke is easy." - Jesus in Matt. 11:30

Anxiety is the opposite of trusting God.

Anxiety comes when we don't know who we are in Christ or who he is for us.

What does it take to shake my confidence, my trust, in God? How quickly do I lose my focus and try to take control?

"My people are destroyed because they do not know who I am." - God in Hosea 4:6

"Oh, I already know that."

Questions to take away and process with Holy Spirit -

  1. Where am I being anxious instead of trusting God?
  2. What lie am I believing that is causing this anxiety, and what is the truth that I need to know that will keep me in peace in spite of this challenge?
  3. Is my heart open and receptive to truth, or am I too distracted for truth to take root in me?

Truth to remember -

  1. "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matt. 11:28-30
